The Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico Orange Frost celebrate this year’s Puerto Rico Day, which takes place during June in the U.S. along Fifth Avenue in the Manhattan borough of New York City. The Orange Frost iteration of the Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico pays homage to the Puerto Rican frozen treats (helados) known as “piraguas” that come in flavors such as coconut, passionfruit and pineapple. Done in an official color scheme listed as Orange Frost/Citron Pulse-Coconut Milk, this Air Max 1 is constructed in a mix of textile, leather, and suede. Key features include the Jewel Swooshes on the side panels, the Gold Puerto Rico lace dubraes, the unique Nike ice cream tongue labels, and the “Puerto Rico” text embroidered on the right heel. Special packaging that include a custom towel to further celebrate Puerto Rico Day will also be included in the release. The Nike Runtekk arrives in a Black and Anthracite color blocking that appear to feature elements from Nike’s earlier running shoes. The shoe is constructed with open mesh and also features leather overlays and semi-translucent cages for durability and breathability. To accent the Swoosh logos even more, there is a 3D effect that is added for that extra touch of modernity to the overall classic-inspired silhouette.
